With its extended solar panels almost looking like spider webs, the InSight Mars Lander is one of our more challenging metal model kits.
InSight, short for Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy, and Heat Transport, is a robotic lander designed to study the deep interior of the planet Mars. InSight launched on May 5, 2018, and successfully landed on Mars on November 26, 2018.
Its findings are expected to shed light on the processes responsible for the formation of Mars, Earth, and even rocky exoplanets more than 4 billion years ago.
While you can use third-party pliers, for your convenience we offer a set specifically designed for our metal models. And to present your model in the right spotlight, we offer a base with blue LED lights.Starting with the records of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, formed in 1915 to study problems of flight and conduct research in aeronautics, the National Archives holds in trust the records of NASA and others related to aeronautics, including the mission photographs taken during the space shuttle program from 1981 to 2011.
